How to change cPanel date time zone Nigeria

You can modify different php settings for your account, including timezone, using php.ini file.
 
If you do not have it yet, please refer to the guidelines below on how to add it:

  On our servers "America/New_York" timezone is set by default.


Option a

To change it o Lagos, you will need to update the following value in your php.ini file:

date.timezone = "Africa/Lagos"


Once configured, do not forget to save the changes.

If your account do not have an existing php.ini file, create a new file with the name php.ini and then place and save the above code

Option b

Create a .htaccess file and paste the following value

php_value date.timezone 'Africa/Lagos'
